IIA NZ Emerging Auditors Mentorship Forum - Meet n Greet Session

Overview:

This is our final session for 2024, and what a way to wrap up the IIA NZ Emerging Auditors Mentorship Forum! As we close out this year's Emerging Auditor Mentorship Forum and kick off the IIA NZ Conference 2024 activities, we want to take a moment to express our sincere thanks for your participation throughout the year. This event is designed not only to show our appreciation but also to provide a valuable opportunity for you to meet and network face-to-face with others who are at a similar stage in their careers.

The IIA NZ Emerging Auditors Mentorship Forum is an integral part of the new IIA NZ Training Programme, developed in collaboration with Massey University. It accommodates emerging auditors, including students enrolled in the training programme and those in our newly introduced student membership. This exclusive event is offered free of charge and is available to members only.

We're excited about this event, both for the networking possibilities it offers and for the chance to thank KPMG for their generous support of this IIA NZ initiative and for supporting our Emerging Auditor members. This event is exclusively for IIA NZ members as a face to face event and is complimentary.

We look forward to seeing you there and helping you connect with others who are on the same journey.

Who should attend?

We want to highlight that this group is geared towards emerging auditors who have recently entered the Internal Audit profession in the last 24 months, providing a platform where aspiring professionals can share insights and experiences as they navigate their careers in the field of internal auditing.

Benefits:

1. Mentorship Platform: The IIA NZ EA Mentorship Forum functions as a mentorship platform aimed at facilitating knowledge sharing, professional development, and networking opportunities for emerging auditors.

2. Alignment with the IIA NZ Training Programme: The EA Mentorship Forum activities are closely aligned with the objectives and curriculum of the new IIA NZ Training Programme developed in partnership with Massey University. The content and discussions within the EA Mentorship Forum are tailored to complement the learning outcomes of the training programme.

3. Hybrid Event Format: Where possible, the EA Mentorship Forum is held in a hybrid format to accommodate both in-person and virtual participation, ensuring accessibility for emerging auditors across New Zealand and the Pacific. This allows participants to engage with the forum's activities no matter their location. However, the final session in November each year will be in-person only, serving as a dedicated networking opportunity.

4. Inclusivity: The IIA NZ EA Mentorship Forum welcomes participation from a diverse range of emerging auditors, including students enrolled in the new training programme and individuals who have recently entered the auditing profession or our new student members. It fosters an inclusive environment that encourages collaboration and learning among participants from various backgrounds.

5. Free Event for Members: The EA Mentorship Forum is offered free of charge to IIA NZ members only. This ensures equitable access to professional development opportunities for all members and underscores the association's commitment to supporting the growth and advancement of emerging auditors within the industry.
