As part of IIA NZ’s 40th Anniversary Conference, the Gala Awards Dinner 2025 will be a defining moment in the history of internal auditing in Aotearoa New Zealand. This special evening will celebrate the profession’s evolution, recognise its pioneers, and highlight the critical role internal auditors continue to play in strengthening trust, integrity, and good governance across sectors.

Set against the theme "Honouring the Past, Defining the Future – A Legacy of Excellence in Internal Audit," the dinner will reflect on four decades of progress since we were incorporated while setting the stage for the next generation of audit professionals. It is an opportunity to pay tribute to the individuals and organisations whose contributions have helped shape the internal audit landscape in New Zealand — from those who laid the groundwork in the early years to the leaders driving innovation and those who impact today.

The evening will feature:

▪️Awards presentations recognising outstanding service, innovation, and leadership in internal auditing

▪️Special announcements that celebrate milestones and signal what’s ahead for IIA NZ

▪️Acknowledgements of key contributors to the IIA NZ journey and wider profession

▪️A vibrant gathering of industry leaders, CAEs, government representatives, and audit professionals

▪️A formal dinner and networking experience held in the elegant surroundings of the Legislative Council Chamber, Parliament Buildings

Whether you’ve been part of the journey from the beginning or have only just joined the profession, this event is a celebration of our shared purpose and a chance to come together as a community to honour the past, celebrate the present, and look boldly to the future.

We invite you to join us for an evening of recognition, connection, and celebration as we mark 40 years of excellence in internal audit and chart a visionary path forward.
