We look forward to welcoming you in-person to the IIA NZ Conference 2026 in Auckland on Wednesday, 4 and Thursday, 5 November 2026, with pre-conference activities, including the IIA NZ CAE Forum and Gala Awards Cocktail Event, taking place on Tuesday, 3 November 2026.

As part of prudent conference planning, and in light of the current geopolitical environment and broader global uncertainty, the IIA NZ Board will continue to monitor conference viability, including travel, fuel, supplier, registration, sponsorship and operational considerations.

The Board will complete a final review on 1 September 2026 to confirm the conference is proceeding as planned. IIA NZ National office will keep delegates, speakers, sponsors and suppliers informed should any material changes arise. To learn more, please refer to our terms below.

All prices are in NZD and exclude GST. All IIA NZ Conference event registrations close on 14 October 2026.

Please note that by purchasing a ticket to any event which is part of the IIA NZ Conference 2026 programme, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined in the IIA NZ Event Terms and Conditions including the IIA NZ Refund Policy. Upon registering for the IIA NZ Conference 2026, you will be required to tick a box confirming that you have read and understood the IIA NZ terms of purchase.


The IIA NZ Conference 2026 programme spans three days, beginning with pre-conference activities on Tuesday, 3 November 2026. The afternoon will feature the IIA NZ CAE Forum 2026, sponsored by PwC NZ and held at PwC Auckland, followed that evening by the IIA NZ Gala Awards Cocktail Event aboard Peretū, a harbour cruise on Auckland’s Waitematā Harbour.

IIA NZ Conference 2026 Day One and Day Two will be held on Wednesday, 4 November and Thursday, 5 November 2026 at Crowne Plaza Auckland, New Zealand.

The 2026 conference theme, Trust, Technology, and Transformation: Powered by EQi, Guided by Ethics, will explore how internal audit continues to evolve in a world shaped by technology, AI, complexity and change. The programme will focus on the profession’s critical role in strengthening trust, supporting ethical decision-making, and applying human judgement, emotional intelligence, professional scepticism and assurance capability in a rapidly changing environment.

The IIA NZ Conference 2026 delegate full registration (per person) includes as follows:

  • Attendance to the IIA NZ CAE Forum 2026 (**if eligible) at PwC on Tuesday, 3 November (in-person)
  • Attendance to the IIA NZ Cocktail Themed Gala Awards 2026 at aboard Peretū Harbour Cruise on Tuesday, 3 November (in-person)
  • Attendance to the IIA NZ 2-day Conference 2026 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Auckland, New Zealand on Wednesday, 4 November and Thursday, 5 November (in-person). Day Two concludes at 3.45 pm.
  • Attendance to the IIA NZ Day One Sponsors Networking Hour on Wednesday, 4 November, at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Auckland, New Zealand from 5.00 pm. (in-person)
  1. For the in-person attendees, the ticket price includes morning tea, afternoon tea (Day One only), a light working luncheon, access to renowned speakers, AV facilities, and event management services on both days and attendance to the above pre-conference events as specified. There is no online attendance option available.
  2. Capacity note: The Conference Day 1 and Day 2 programme, together with the associated Gala Cocktail Event, can accommodate up to 100 delegates in total. Once capacity reaches 100 delegates, registrations will be sold out, so we encourage you to register early to avoid missing out. The IIA NZ CAE Forum has separate eligibility and capacity considerations. Where delegates have not selected these events at the time of registration, or where delegates are not eligible to attend the CAE Forum, individual tickets may be made available from 1 September 2026, subject to capacity and final conference arrangements.

**The CAE Forum is open to IIA NZ members in senior internal audit roles (e.g. Chief Audit Executive, Head of Internal Audit, or equivalent) only. Subject to capacity, individual CAE Forum tickets may be made available from 1 September 2026.


2026 IIA NZ Event Terms and Conditions including the IIA NZ Refund Policy


  • IMPORTANT: If you are unable to attend, please notify us in writing ASAP at events@iianz.org.nz before the registration closing date to cancel your registration, to receive a refund. Cancellations not received in writing will obligate you to pay the registration fee for this event. Please note: you will be refunded the value of the funds that IIA NZ has received only. 
  • Extenuating Circumstances: If you are unwell or face extenuating circumstances on the day(s) of the event and cannot attend in person, you may apply in writing to the IIA NZ Board Chair for refund consideration due to extenuating circumstances.
  • Full Refund: A full refund is available if you cancel before the registration closing deadline: 14 October 2026.
  • IIA NZ Board Decision to Postpone or Cancel the Conference: Should the IIA NZ Board make the decision on 1 September 2026 to postpone or cancel the IIA NZ Conference 2026, IIA NZ will advise registered delegates of the next steps. In this situation, a full refund will be offered to those who have registered and paid, their registration will be cancelled if payment has not yet been received, or an alternative option will be offered.
  • No Refund: No refund will be issued after the registration closing date being 14 October 2026, at 5 pm.
  • Overseas Registrations: If you are paying for your conference registration from overseas, IIA NZ will charge an International Processing (IP) fee of $15.00. Please note that your bank may also apply additional charges on your end. This applies to all payments made when not using our credit card gateway. The IP fee is non-refundable.
  • Registration Fee: By registering for the IIA NZ Conference 2026, you acknowledge and understand that this is an in-person conference, and there is no online attendance option available for the 2026 Conference programme.

    The registration fee includes access to Conference Day One and Day Two at Crowne Plaza Auckland, including conference sessions, speaker presentations, morning tea, afternoon tea (Day One only), lunch, AV-supported facilities, and event management services. It also includes access to eligible pre-conference and evening events selected during registration, subject to capacity and registration criteria.

  • Transferring Your Registration: If you are unable to attend an event, you have the option to send a substitute in your place, provided the replacement meets the event's entry requirements. Please notify us in advance in writing so we can update our delegate list before the registration closing date. If the replacement delegate is not eligible for the same attendance fee (e.g., an IIA NZ member sending a non-IIA NZ member), the price difference must be settled before the event.
  • Split Registrations: IA NZ is unable to offer split registrations. Each conference registration is for one named attendee only and cannot be shared or transferred between multiple people. Where applicable, individual tickets for selected events, such as the CAE Forum and Gala Awards Cocktail Event, may be made available from 1 September 2026, subject to eligibility, capacity and final conference arrangements.
  • Video Recording and Photography: By registering for the IIA NZ Conference 2026, you acknowledge and understand that this is an in-person conference. There is no online attendance option available and the conference will not be video recorded for virtual attendance or post-event viewing. Please note that photographs may be taken during the conference for IIA NZ record-keeping, communications and promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please advise the IIA NZ National Office before or during the event.

  • Speaker, Topic and Programme Changes: IIA NZ reserves the right to amend the conference programme, including replacing a speaker, changing a topic, adjusting session timings, or substituting a session, should a speaker be unable to attend or where programme changes are required for operational, scheduling, or other reasons.
  • Panel Speaker Allocation: IIA NZ panelist speakers will be confirmed closer to the conference date.
  • Resource Sharing and Speaker Intellectual Property: IIA NZ may distribute approved speaker slide decks, handouts, links and resources to registered attendees after the conference, where permission has been provided by the speaker or sponsoring organisation. Speakers retain ownership of their intellectual property, including presentation content, case studies, tools, templates, frameworks and supporting materials. Conference attendees may use shared resources for their own professional learning and reference purposes only. Resources must not be copied, adapted, published, shared externally, distributed within an organisation, used for commercial purposes, or reproduced in training or other materials without the prior written permission of the speaker, sponsoring organisation, and/or IIA NZ, as applicable.
  • Dietary Requirements: Please kindly note that all dietary requirements must be brought to our attention before the registration closing date. We regret to inform you that we cannot cater to any dietary requests on the day of the event.
  • Please note that afternoon tea will not be provided on Day Two.
  • The Day One Sponsors Hour will include a one-hour standard beverage package of house wine, beer and soft drinks, along with shared platters. This is a one-hour networking session, with catering served during the allocated Sponsors Hour from 5.00 pm to 6.00 pm on Day One, in the Exhibition Hall only.
  • The Gala Awards Cocktail Event aboard Peretū includes a two-course deli buffet and a three-hour beverage package of house wine, beer and soft drinks. Any beverages outside the included package, or after the package concludes, will be at the attendee’s own cost and subject to the vessel’s bar arrangements.
  • IIA NZ 2-day Conference 2026 – CPE Hours and Summary: Registered in-person attendees may receive up to 16.50 CPE hours for attending the full IIA NZ Conference 2026 programme. Please note this is an in-person conference only. There is no online attendance option available for the 2026 Conference programme, and the conference will not be video recorded for post-event viewing. The CAE Forum CPE will be itemised separately via My IIA for eligible attendees.
To be eligible for a CPE summary, attendees must be registered and attend the relevant sessions in person. Only registered participants will receive a CPE summary. CPE summaries are accessible through your MyIIA online account. Simply navigate to the CPE Summary section to download them at any time. If you are not a member of IIA NZ and require a one-off CPE certificate, please email your request to events@iianz.org.nz after the conference and no later than 30 November 2026.
  • Under the Privacy Act 2020, we prioritise the protection of your privacy. Rest assured that all IIA NZ Conference 2026 registration information will be solely used for conference purposes.
